Procedural posture

AAO_posture: Appeal rejected as improperly filed. Required petitioner signature was absent from I-290B and the later purported G-28 petitioner signature was not accepted as genuine/executed by petitioner.; citation_pages: 1; 2; classification: appeal_rejected_as_improperly_filed; director_findings: Director denied the petition July 29, 2010. Counsel filed an appeal August 23, 2010 but the I-290B lacked the petitioner’s signature. A copy of Form G-28 was submitted; after AAO requested a new, fully executed G-28, counsel supplied an amended May 12, 2012 form whose petitioner signature visibly differed from signatures elsewhere in the record. AAO found it was not executed by petitioner; because I-290B bore only counsel’s signature, the appeal was improperly filed and rejected without refund.
